The Department of Cinema and Television aims to develop the creative power of the students with free creation opportunities offered to the students in accordance with the contemporary developments and also with the technical equipment that constitutes the infrastructure for the individual abilities of the students. We aim to educate them as researching, thinking and innovative individuals.

Cinema and Television Department within the body of Çankırı Karatekin University, Faculty of Fine Arts is established in 2015 and started admitting students to undergraduate program. With this program, it is aimed to train students as graduates who have the knowledge and background to make qualified productions in accordance with the international standards, and to provide qualified labor to the media sector.

The period of study of the bachelor’s program is four years. In the context of the program it is ensured that the students acquire a theoretical background, perform theoretical and applied studies, and get equipped to produce creative and applicative projects.

The Department of Cinema and Television at the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture of Çankırı Karatekin University has been accredited by ILAD for a period of two years, from March 9, 2026 to March 9, 2028. Our department meets national standards in terms of educational quality, academic infrastructure, and alignment with the sector, and holds the distinction of being the first Cinema and Television department in the field of Fine Arts to be accredited by ILAD.
